Of the lowdown on sin

I have read in Theologica Germanica that all sin is is selfishness. I have also tried to develop among the theological virtues humility because I have read that you can have no sin without pride. Pride and selfishness sound like the same thing anyway. Any comments? Anyone famililar with Theologica?

I am not familiar with that Theologica, but sinning is like saying “I know better than God,” i.e., putting our own opinions/ideas above those commandments given to us by God so sin really is prideful. Also, when we sin, it generally means we are looking out for ourselves as opposed to God or neighbor, so sin really is selfish.
