I recently applied to the army and tried to sort my life out, you see I am not that smart and not that successful in life but self-aware and intelligent enough to hate myself for it. I want to get married and have children, but cannot do that without a decent income.
I decided to apply for the army, since it provides a salary and I’d earn more than I do now.
However I faile the medical because I wear glasses and have poor eyesight, I didn’t find out until a few months after applying, I got my hopes up after passing the first interview. I haven’t been to church since. I remember my priest asked about my application, so I told him God had a different plan for me. I haven’t been to church since and become very nihilistic.
I am somewhat glad that I didn’t get into the army, as I don’t support current Western values of liberalism, pro-LGBT and feminism and multiculturalism. So I would not have liked dying for those things. However, I feel just lost like I did before becoming Catholic.
Anyway sorry for rambling, I’m feeling a bit lost.
