I thought I would start a separate thread in honor of some of our Muslim posters who love to go off topic in the middle of a discussion. That way anyone can dump an off topic point here and discuss it without derailing the original thread. šŸ˜ƒ (Please note that this is an equal opportunity thread and off topic points no matter the age, creed or color of the poster are welcome here. :))

What problem? There is no problem prior to Muhammad. Jesus is the Messiah as prophesied in the Old Testament. He fulfills those prophecies. Jesus IS God therefore there is no question of ā€œhow was Jesus getting his messages from Godā€

John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God; and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was made nothing that has been made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness; and the darkness grasped it not.
You say Jesus is God. But do you know that he is also a prophet of God too? Do you deny that? And how did the two exist together?? Was Jesus God during the night and prophet during the day? Please explain.

Jesus is God. Muslims are the ones who insist on the distinction of prophet. šŸ¤·
Judaism was the real religion from God and was well established for 1400 years. What was the need of Jesus?? That is applying your own logic back on you.

Again, Jesus fulfilled all of the Old Testament prophesies. Again, I am not following your point here. Muhammad is the one who changed the scriptures. Are you asking about why there are prophecies in the Old Testament to begin with? :confused:
He was a Jew. What do you say? Jesus never wanted to start a new religion.

That would depend on how you are defining religion vs. church. Jesus most definitely founded the Catholic Church:

Matthew 16:16-19
Simon Peter answered and said, ā€œthou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.ā€ Then Jesus answered and said, "Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to thee, but my Father in heaven. And I say to thee, thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (emphasis mine)
 
The thread wonā€™t work. Off topic discussions are generally used on this forum as a form of trolling.

Oh yeah, I used to have that on my old laptop before itā€¦uhā€¦fell asleep in the Lord so to speak. šŸ˜ƒ

I donā€™t like that you have to pay for some of the better translations (I have most of them in printed form any way, plus I use biblegateway.com), but I like it as a kind of electronic Bible plus commentary to keep handle. Also they have the Ante-Nicene Fathers as well as some of the Reformers, which is a plus.
