Offering up Fasting & Abstinence

Hi all,
I’m wondering whether we could offer up the fasting and abstinence we do on Good Friday? if yes, to whom can we offer it up to, besides souls in purgatory?

Asolutely we can and should, as we can and should offer any type of suffering or inconvenience that comes our way.

You can offer for any good cause or intention you have.

A couple I tend to offer for:

sanctification of our priests, bishops and religious
vocations to the priesthood and religious life
conversion of sinners
atonement for my own sins and those of sinners everywhere
The Pope and his prayer intentions.

A different idea might simply be to offer them for ‘the intentions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus’ - surely He knows how best to put your offerings to good use!
