Offering up wounds in sacrifice

I struggle with many wounds from my past that lead me to sin, one of may favourite aspects of Catholic Theology is redemptive suffering. Is it okay to offer up my wounds in sacrifice? Is their any Theological or Psychological problem with this?

Also can anyone provide with information on redemptive suffering and give me some tips on how to preform it?

When you’re offering something up in prayer, try to think of yourself as standing beneath the Cross, looking up at Love. Think about how Mary felt, standing there, seeing Her Son Crucified and dying and suffering for our sin, and pray that your suffering may be united with Christ’s Sacrifice on Calvary. At Mass, when the priest recalls the word of Christ “This is My Body…This is My Blood”, say to the Lord “Lord, I wish to offer Thee the pain of my Body and Blood, for the reparation of Sin and for the souls in purgatory, and also for the intentions of…(state any other intention you might wish to ask for)”.
