When praying the Office of the Dead for the Liturgy of the Hours for a deceased person, does one use the festal psalms in the Office for the Dead itself, or the psalms for the weekday?
 
The traditional Office of the dead consists of Vespers, Matins, Lauds and has its own set of antiphons - psalms - lessons etc
 
It’s a proper office, so you use the psalms with the Office of the Dead, not the weekday psalms.
