Anyone know where I can order a weekly or monthly subscription to an official Church magazine? And NOT an online version please!!! šŸ™‚ Thank you and God bless you.

just a magazine that is an Official Catholic Church publication (Vatican approved) that is printed weekly or monthly or bi-monthly…Thanks!

l’Osservatore Romano is the Vatican newspaper.

You can find subscription information on the Vatican website. Looks like you can also download it as a PDF.

Other than that, I don’t know of a ā€œVatican approvedā€ magazine.

Inside the Vatican magazine is the closest I have seen to a high quality, Vatican-oriented magazine. I have subscribed for about 3 years and love it. They published Deus Caritas Est in its entirety, have tons of interviews with Vatican staff and Cardinals, and more.

I highly recommend it!

If you’d like a weekly newspaper, the National Catholic Register (wipe the word ā€œReporterā€ out of your mind šŸ™‚ ) is very good. Also Our Sunday Visitor.

I second the Register and also recommend Catholic World Report.

National Catholic Reporter, maybe?
😃
Yes, Nita, we hope–the National Catholic Distorter would be a lousy place to go for the straight story. On the Other Hand–the National Catholic REGISTER is a great weekly national newspaper faithful to the Magesterium, where you will get the news from a useful and faithful perspective–and it always carries the huge amount of GOOD news about the Church today, as opposed to some news organs which, while faithful, are also depressing in their focus.

I recommend it just for Friar Tuck’s restaurant reviews and the art essays. It’s got a lot of religious content too though šŸ˜‰

Homiletic and Pastoral Review is also excellent, though it’s aimed at a little more of a niche audience – don’t let it scare you off, though, many of the most thoughtful, intelligent, and compassionate articles I’ve seen from current Catholic thinkers and authors have been in there. As an added bonus, if you enter the priesthood, your back issues are all the cheat sheets for homilies you’re ever going to need!

There are a lot of good Catholic magazines, printed in many languages. But as far as I know, the Church does not have an ā€œofficialā€ magazine. The Vatican is not in the business of publishing magazines.
