This link is the public response to a CNA’s employee who appeared to try to attempt to smear RealCatholicTV.
realcatholictv.com/response/

I hope that CNA admonishes their employee as RCTV has promptly done.
Writing an article and NOT giving appropriate persons reasonable time to make corrections is uncharitable.

It is my opinion that both CNA and RCTV are faithful to the Magisterium of the Church and adhere to the teachings in the “Catechism of the Catholic Church, Second Edition”.

“CNA is 4 years behind on thier own nonprofit filings. We are not reporting this.”
Um, it appears you just did.

As for the timing of the story and contact, it may have been deliberate it may not have been. Reporters have to jump on stories when they come to their attention or else someone else will beat them to the punch. Nothing was inaccurate about the story so there doesn’t appear to have been a need to sit on it.

“We have developed enemies in the Church…”
Seriously? The story was accurate, just accept the momentary flack and move on. This story is essentially a nonissue but the paranoid statements will keep it alive.

Voris makes some good points. I love CNA, read them all the time, but their story didn’t seem all that newsworthy. So RCTV are behind in their paperwork, it’s only a five dollar fee to fix things up and there fine with the IRS (was the IRS part not important to mention in the story?).

And as for the other gentlemen in question he is seeking to amend his ways, has shown contriton etc.

Now we just need to wait for the NCreporter’s piece on father Z.

Stay strong faithful Catholics.

Voris has ruffled many feathers. GOOD. The American Catholic Church needs to be shaken to it’s core.

Why in the world would anyone investigate whether the company is for profit or not?

Many liberal Catholics would love to shut Voris up. God Bless you Mike! 👍

OK, that’s one opinion.

I agree the story was overblown and much ado about nothing. However I don’t think CNA was pointing to lack of Michigan nonprofit status alone but rather that coupled with an employees public behavior as an attempt to show that the organization was a bit out of control (for lack of a better phrase at the moment).

I think most people want loud talking individuals who disagree with them to “shut up.” That’s not unique to liberals. But I don’t see any grand conspiracy here. As someone else posted on another thread, when you go around kicking bee hives you can’t cry when one tries to sting you.

Awesome response by Michael. I know they are all a great group and no smearing could tarnish what they have worked so hard for. I’m glad either way they were able to straighten things out. Brother Jay did a good analysis on Rafe’s stories too by the way in the original article release on CAF.
