What is the official version of the Bible (in English!) of the Roman Catholic church?
 
There is no official English version of the Bible for personal use. Liturgically there is no single version of the Bible used either. The U.S. uses the NAB, the UK uses the Jerusalem Bible, Canada uses the NRSV, the RSV-2CE is authorized for use by the Antilles Episcopal Conference.
 
In America, the most common Bible is the NAB(RE). But the only official Bible for the Catholic Church is the Latin Vulgate translated by St. Jerome.
