In the Divine Office that I recently received, I am a little confused…

I have the edition which only has all the hours for Sunday, and then only Prime, Sext and Compline for the other days.

In the Commons of each hour (usually taken from Sunday), does anyone know where to find the Collects?

yes, this is for sure…it does not contain all the hours for each day of the week.

Does anyone know where to find the Collects for the different days of the week? Are they to be found in the Sunday Missal used at Mass? (That’s what I’ve been using…)

Th collects can be found in any 1962 Daily Missal- go to the feast day/commemoration of the day (e.g., today is the feast of St. Antonio Maria Claret) and find which collect is used.

Thank you, Juan Carlos. I’ve been using the Collects from the week’s Sunday Mass. It didn’t even occur to me to find the day’s Feast/Commemoration!! :doh2:

Another question!

where does one find the antiphons for the Benedictus and the Magnificat? The rubric says it is found in the Proper of the Season…where do I find it (it’s not in the book)?

It’ll be in the 1962 Missal. Only on Sundays though. If you have the Angelus Press Missal, at the end of the Propers for the Sunday there’ll be a section marked “Antiphon at the Magnificat”.
