OK To Take Communion at Episcopal Funeral?

I was Episcopalian before I took RCIA and convected. An old Episcopal friend is sick and the prognosis is not good.

I am hoping for a cure, but If the worst happens and he passes away , would it be OK if just on this one occassion I went up to the alter and took communion at the funeral in the Episcopal Church? I am thinking it may appear disrepectful if I refused communion.

Dear Mav,

You no longer believe that the Eucharist in the Episcopal Church is actually the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. For you to receive it is to publicly proclaim what you do not believe about the most sacred of things. Better to raise a few eye brows than to give a counter witness to what you really believe.

You are a Catholic now. This is an opportunity to give witness to your faith. For you to do otherwise would be seriously sinful.
