Does anybody ever feel like they are addicted to this board? I’m saying this a little tongue in cheek but I’m partly serious. I have a one year old and a house and husband to care for and I’ve spent a ton of time on here in the past week or so. I know it’s for a good cause, but I need to find some balance!!

Tongue in cheek or not, this board is addicting.

However, I am chalking this up in the learning category. I am just beginning in the Catholic faith so I am trying to learn as much as I can. 🙂

It’s a good thing it’s addicting. I just find it a little ironic that I spent most of my time today talking to someone telling me that I worship statues when the real danger of idolatry is making something more important than God. Which I’m not saying that I or any of us are doing here, it just gets addicting to discuss (maybe because the rest of the day I’m talking to a one year old?) But I will admit, I like to be right, and sometimes my enthusiasm to make a point or be right (even though it’s not me being right, it’s the Church) overcomes what I should be doing elsewhere. But I have been known to be a bit (very) scrupulous as well!

Yup, this forum is really addicting.
My mother called me a “fanatic”!

Okay, yep, my family and friends tease me for “arguing with the Catholics again.” oops.

But then in times I have spent away from this board I noticed my Bible Study time decreases rapidly so I guess this is good for me. 😃 Not only do I learn to defend my faith, I am also sometimes challenged to define my faith.

Just a curiosity, not trying to start an argument on a light-hearted thread. What’s the difference between defending your faith and defining your faith?

defending is saying why I believe what I believe and why it is correct.

defining it is when I didn’t know what I believed and needed to find out how to define it.

Oh, okay, defining it to yourself, not to someone else.
