Good to know.

Originally I just used them for the Jesus prayer - I thought that seemed appropriate. But now I use them as a rosary too, Hail Marys, etc. It just didn’t seem to matter what I prayed on them. They work.

I don’t think we’re really “supposed” to have devotions to Orthodox Saints as the Orthodox on not in Communion with Rome.
Two things here. First, many Eastern Catholics would be very surprised by this comment. There are plenty of post-Schism Orthodox saints that are venerated, even liturgically, by Eastern Catholics. St. Gregory Palamas is the first to come to mind.

Secondly, the Pope himself declared St. Gregory of Narek a “Doctor of the Church.” St. Gregory was not in communion with Rome at the time of his death and belonged to the Armenian Orthodox Church. So the fact of the matter is that there is a saint, honored in the Roman Church, who was not in communion with Rome at the time of his death.

I would. Have shopped at stores geared to protestants on occasion though have had the best luck in the used book section.
