Orientale Lumen XV Conference will be in Washington, DC, June 20-23, 2011 Theme “Rome and the Communion of Churches: Bishop, Patriarch or Pope”

These are great conferences, always with excellent topics. This topic should be especially good.

This year for the first time:

Online Webcast of OL Conference
New for 15th OL Conference

For the first time, the OL Conference will be broadcast live through an online video webcast. The Opening Session with all Plenary Lectures and Panel Discussions will be **viewable online during the conference for just $50 per person.

Viewers will be able to send email questions to the moderator at the conference site for the panel discussions. Register for this access and a userid and password will be sent to you by email two weeks before the conference.

**If sufficient webcast registrations are not received by June 1st to cover the setup costs, the webcast will be canceled and a full refund **will be sent to anyone who registered for it.

I know I can’t make it to DC. The webcast will be fraction of the full conference since the many services and liturgies are really wonderful as is the time to visit over meals etc., still it’s an excellent opportunity to “sit in on” the plenaries at least, and to ask questions via email. I’m registered and I hope enough other people will so the webcasts will air and not be canceled.
