Has anyone here seen the movie “Old Fashioned”?
Yes, and from what I heard it is excellent…but I haven’t watched it myself. I heard that at the end of the movie the whole audience (male and female) applauded!🙂

My husband and I just happened to see it yesterday. Charming. Perfect antidote to what my pastor calls “Fifty Shades of Mortal Sin”.

Old Fashioned is an indie film, filmed in SE Ohio. It tells the story of a guy who, after being a wild frat-boy in college settles down, resolving to court, rather than date, a woman. He meets a woman, with a past, who is unfamiliar with that concept but is drawn to him. Their friends have alternate views which are addressed in the movie

It is a Christian film, no doubt about that, but in my opinion, it is done very quietly, no preaching.

While the movie is clean in there is no nudity or swearing, there are a couple of scenes that make it of questionable appropriateness for teens (I’m thinking especially of the bachelor party, for those who have seen it.).

Overall, very good. An actual romantic story that is really romantic. A breath of fresh air.

Sounds good. A lot of independent films are better than what Hollywood puts out.

Hoping to see it myself with family if possible. Thanks for the synopsis!

Yes, I saw it! A bit slow moving but you’ll like it if you like love stories. Not a bit of swearing in it; one scene where the male lead gets righteously angry about what his best friend is about to do at a bachelor party (which disrupts the party). Has a happy ending! I got teary-eyed, but then, I’m an emotional type. The cinematography is well done IMO.
This movie was really pushed on EWTN radio.

It had a v short run at a local theater.
