Not sure if someone has asked this already or not, but if I had sins from the past that I now know are mortal sins (example - missing mass), do I need to confess? I would like to as much as I can remember, but I am just wondering if I would need to or not since at the time I didn’t know the sin was mortal.

Cupcake, you have scrupulosity issues, how and what to confess is something to talk to your confessor about.

You know that mortal sin requires that you know it is grave matter. You did not know. You have already answered your own question.

I do have scrupulosity when it comes to confession. I’ve gotten a lot better with my scrupulosity with other things, but confession just always brings it back. But, thank you 1ke!
