Old Testament Apologetics

Hi all,

I’m sometimes challenged (when talking on other forums) with questions dealing with the more violent parts of the Old Testament i.e. how can you justify associating yourself with a religion that’s major book condones stoning etc.?

I feel like I should be able to answer this, but I have trouble articulating a response. Any ideas?
