I was having a casual conversation with a non-denominational friend of mine, and he brought up a book by some author, called the Last Jihad. Goes on to explain how the author makes correlations to end-times etc in the book with Ezekiel 38 and 39 etc. Didn’t bat an eye at it at first, received it as more of the Layhe stuff, but then I started to ask myself, didn’t Christ’s coming and resurrection fulfill all the prophecy from the Old Testament, or is there still prophecy that has yet to be fulfilled and points as markers for the End Times?

If all OT prophecy has been fulfilled through Christ, then that throws a big dent in some of the end times, rapture precepts right? Thanks!

Note, I already don’t accept Rapture Theology, but wanted to have some good additional points and questions next time we speak. Thanks in advance.

The Catholic Church is keeping many secrets of the rapture, and I suspect it is very soon.

Yes there are still prophesies, like that of Nostradamus.

Careful, if you look deep into his prophesies, they are very frightful. It is said that God promised to punish no more the Earth with a flood, that instead, like the New Testament said, it will be with “purifying fire”.

Prophesies from Catholic Theologians I believe, point a religious war a mark and symbol of the End of times. Muslims pay a vital role, if this prophesy is true, for if it is, they are the anti-Christ. And the war will be followed by Bin Laden.

ASSUMING, the prophesies are true from Nostradamus.

Look it up, careful for what you find will be very frightening. I wanted to study the rapture, and… I did not like what I learned.

Nostradamus was a Catholic Christian prophet? I always though he was just a loon? I’d be more inclined to give him credit if one of his prophecies we’re identified before the fact of something happening. I think its far easier to play Monday Morning quarterback to him and his prophecies. What exactly about the rapture did you study, and what is the church keeping secret about it? From my understanding the Church doesn’t teach a “Rapture” like many mainline non-Catholic Christian 's believe. We believe in the second coming of Christ at the end of time. But please do share, what OT Prophecies haven’t been fulfilled in Christ, I’d really be open to hearing. TIA

I thought there was supposed to be a second coming of Christ. Is this a NT idea that was not part of the OT? And, the second coming was associated with the rapture event, although it is possible the modern meaning of the rapture, and end of days, is a creative interpretation from something in some scripture.

In any case, belief in the “end of days” idea is very dangerous. It is an additional threat to the precarious peace that exists in some places. These believers are people that have more difficulty working for peace, or policies that might mitigate conflict. They think the prediction for some kind of final global religious conflict has a divine source. In their mind, this gives the idea an inevitable quality that blocks alternatives. This is an extremely dangerous thought when political or religious leaders are carriers. I don’t know what the rest of us can do about such nonsense. Questioning the obvious flaws in prophecies does not seem to work. Perhaps public ridicule would be more effective.

And it isn’t going to work when such nonsense sells books and yields great profits as opposed to great prophets.😃

all things aside, are there any OT prophecies that have yet to be fulfilled in the NT?
