I believe in sharing the good things of life. So I have two great movie recommendations which can be found on Archive.org ( archive.org/details/movies. ) Go to " Movies, " then to " Feature Films." One is found under " T, " the other is found under " B. "
The first is called " The Last Chance " and is a high dramma black and white from the 30s depicting the trials of a group of Refugees attempting to flee from the Nazi " Final Solution. " They are attempting to flee from the Italian Alps into safety in Switzerland.
The second is called " Big News " and stars a very young Carol Lombard. This is an absolutely hilerious crime/news room black and white dating from the 30s.
For those not familiar with Archive.Org, it features Public Domain works of print, moving images, recordings, etc and the Movie section of Moving Images has around two or three hundred old films, mostly black and white. You have to be choosie of course like always. But it has some great films from early talkies and into the forties and early 50s.
If you go there, don’t be missled by the " Star " ratings because these are viewer rated and do not reflect the entertainment value of the films. Give it a try and report back.
