On 10/4 to Br. JR in particular

and to everyone else at CA : Although the 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time will be celebrated in the OF, and the 18th Sunday after Pentecost in the EF, I wanted to wish you a Happy Feast of St. Francis. St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us.
 
Thank you all very much. That is very kind of you. I will offer our mass for the Solemnity of St. Francis for all of you, your families and your friends. May our holy Father intercede for you and may the Holy Mother of God cover all of you with her protective mantle and keep you safe from all evil.

Even though we will not be celebrating the 27th Sun (OF) or the 18th (EF), because the Solemnity takes precedence in the Franciscan calendar, it is still the same sacrifice of the mass and the same Lord and Savior that protects and loves us all. My holy communion will be for you and yours.

Yes, may all who keep Francis as a patron Saint have a blessed and happy solemnity!
 
And likewise, to all of our 4-legged friends (and winged, and finned, and scaled, etc. etc.)!!!
