I think it’s absolutely ridiculous to ordain a married man in the first place if he is expected to live with his wife as if she’s his sister. Married priests works for the eastern Church and the Orthodox… why not the Latin rite? I’d bet anything you’d see a lot more vocations and a lot fewer child-molesters.

You would lose half that bet. Perhaps more would volunteer for vocations, but pedophilia is not prevented by marriage. Sexual assault occurs more often by teachers in public schools than by priests.

That is why here in Colorado the legislature is considering a law that would remove the statute of limitations on sex abuse occuring in private institutions but that law would not affect public schools.
