On Confession

Sometimes, when I’m at Confession, I’ll remember a sin as the Priest is giving his counsel or penance, or while I’m saying the act of Contrition or even as I’m getting absolution. What should I do under those circumstances? Bring it up at the next Confession, or then?

I would suggest a longer period of time in examining your conscience, if this is a regular event. There are guides in Catholic book stores to assist in helping you review your behavior which I find very helpful.

However, next time interrupt the Priest and explain it to him, and listen to his advice.

If he is giving advice…one can add it as soon as he finishes perhaps.

Of course venial sins really do not have to be confessed…one can include a venial sin “intentionally” with the rest without saying it.
