Does “on earth peace to people of good will”, mean that we should only attempt to make peace with people who have good will? or does it mean something else?
It comes from Luke 2:14 when the angels announce to the shepherds the coming of the Christ child. In context it is saying that the Christ who makes peace or reconciles man to God is coming into the world for the benefit of mankind. It is through Christ that we are considered men who please God and receive his favor.
