I started looking into Catholicism back in April with the intention of evangelizing to Catholics… and because I didn’t understand their beliefs. I didn’t expect myself to start believing that the Catholic church is the true church of Christ, but that is what happened. Although after months into my personal research, I gave up because my husband was totally against it (and still is). But then a woman I had met at a Catholic church started evangelizing to me. I prayed for a miracle I needed at the time, and God used the Catholic woman as part of the miracle.
I am currently reading “Rome Sweet Home” and have also been reading online and watching videos on youtube about Catholicism.
Anyway, I am more convinced by the day and believe in the holy Catholic church as the visible church of Christ. Apostolic succession makes sense to me.
I wanted to ask for a prayer request. Please pray for me that I could become Catholic. In the country I am currently in, it can take years to become Catholic as a catechumen. I really want to learn as much as I can and become part of the Catholic church. I long to partake of the Eucharist.
Another thing is that when I talk to other evangelical Christians about it, they either attack me or get upset and don’t want to talk about it. I am also feeling lonely because of this, which is part of the reason I stopped looking into Catholicism before.
I have contacted a local priest and am supposed to start studying as a catechumen soon, but it seems like there is a delay. Anyway I need prayers of others! God bless you!
