Surely, objects reminding us of love, goodness, compassion, and security abound in our society. Why not religious articles, in our own homes, if they bring us all these things! Little children’s bedrooms have nice colors, stuffed animals, relaxing music. Teenagers have posters of movie stars and sports stars. The elderly may have numerous pictures of family members to look at with fond memories. More homes should display a Crucifix and religious
items. They are frequent reminders of all the love and happiness we have with God. Having these religious articles blessed will be a strengthening of our spiritual life. We will think more often of prayer and God when we look at these Images and Crucifixes. So now is a good time to think about our own homes and what we can do to enhance its beauty with visible love to and from God and all His Saints.
