On regret

These past six months I have made quite a few serious mistakes that have severed friendships, jeopardized my future career. Time waits for no one. Most of the mistakes I have made are irreparable. I have lost the trust of a few - this cannot easily be recovered. I have caused my own suffering. Well what to do now

Please remember you are not the only person to have made serious similar mistakes, so have I in the past. Do the only thing you can do and learn from the mistakes, aplogoze if possible to those you have offended and seek God’s help in making reparations. Patience and prayer will help you forward and I will pray for you.

Contrary to the popular sentimental culture, regret is a part of life. Courses of action that later generate regrets are part of the history of every human being.

But unless your eyes are rolled back in your head, life goes on.

So pick yourself up and continue living it.

Oh, believe me, I’ve done a few things myself that I later regret, and that were irreparable. I’ve posted about it before.

I wonder if there’s anyone who hasn’t done a few things they now regret.

What I’ve done is to ask God for forgiveness and for help in getting my life back on track. I’ve tried to set out what I need to do to accomplish my new objectives, and asked for God’s help in getting to that point.
