In thinking about the Baltimore Catechism definition of sacrament.
A Sacrament is an outward sign instituted by Christ to give grace.
WIth this in Mind and recalling our Holy Father mentioning a smaller purer church coupled with the fact that there is a significant division in our church between orthodx RC and dissenting modernists. Could we come to the conclusion that there is already a huge schism in our church which is like the unseen reality of a sacrament? ANd that soon with our new pope the outward sign or seen reality will become apparent in the shcism? I am not sure if anyone will get what I am saying except I have a theory that part of our church (the dissenters) may already be schism with the true church and soon that schism will be verified and visible like the outward sign of a Sacrament.
ANy thoughts?
