In the 1670s Jesus appeared to her, revealing the fire of his love. Through this, she became a great source of devotion to the sacred heart of Jesus, which would spread through the world and become one of the most widespread devotions of Catholics.

Really like her. She was very devoted to Eucharistic adoration, too. She’s a lot like Saint Faustina in her message and spiritual life.

Right-O…

She has a little autobiography that is well worth a read. (In it, among other things, she records the words of Jesus speaking to her. It’s quite good. Short but good.)

I think sometime up to the early 20th century , devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus was quite strong for 200 years or better. I’m sure she was better known then.

My greatest happiness is to be before the Blessed Sacrament, where my heart is, as it were, in Its center.
