Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ:

I had a HUGE interview today with a Nationwide Company. This could be a wonderful opportunity for me. I have been praying fervently, as have all of you. They advised I will DEFINATELY be hearing from them. Hmmmm. Sounds positive!!!

You all remain close to my heart for helping me through this difficult and trying time. I am and shall be forever gratefull for all of your love and support.

Hopefully God will open doors for me shortly. (This would be a really nice opportunity for me, am hoping this is the door he will open!)

It’s been almost 2 weeks. I sent a follow up with the company, have not heard any word. I don’t think I am getting the job. Sent out over 250 resumes this week and got not a call. This is just not funny…it’s been a year. Why isn’t god helping me?

I’m so sorry to hear about your situation. I don’t know what God’s plan is for you, but please know that God does have a plan for you. You just have to be patient. I know, easier said than done. I’m truly truly sorry. 😦

Prayer to St. Joseph for the Unemployed

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

Do Not Be Anxious (Matthew 6:25-34)
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life,
what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body,
what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body
more than clothing?
26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor
gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not of more value than they?
27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour
to his span of life?
28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies
of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin,
29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed
like one of these.
30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is
alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more
clothe you, O you of little faith?

Dear Lord let justlookingny who is looking for employment come to You with humble trust. During his doubts, perplexities, and temptations, Jesus, help him. In his hours of loneliness, weariness and trials, Jesus, help him. In the failure of his plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows, Jesus help him. When others fail him, and Your grace alone can assist him, Jesus, help him. When he throws himselve on Your tender love as a Brother and Savior, Jesus, help him. When his heart is cast down by failure to see any good come from his efforts, Jesus, help him. When he feels impatient, and his cross irritates him, Jesus, help him. When he is ill, and his head and hands cannot work and he is lonely, Jesus, help him. Always, in spite of weakness, falls, and shortcomings of every kind, Jesus help him and we know you will never forsake him. Help him to find employment in this time of need.

Lord have mercy on justlookingny. Please I beg of you to help him in his time of need. Grant him whatever it is he needs and help him to find it and recieve it. Your Son Jesus taught us to ask in his name and in accordance with your will and it shall be done. All of us who here pray for him beseech you standing upon this promise of yours and seeking your greater glory. Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy. Lord have mercy. Amen.

Ok, status update! So, I found out the company that interviewed me actually is having a hiring freeze. It’s nothing that I did or said wrong. Another 250 resumes went out last night…through the thousands of resumes, I have begun looking in different states. I received 2 calls. Seems as if Commission only jobs are hiring. You KNOW the economy is really bad when you go to 15 restaurants for a waitressing job and they tell you they aren’t hiring!! Can it be just New York? - I have no idea where the strength is coming from to get through this, I’m praying every 2 seconds of every day…so it must be coming from the Lord…but dear God, where is my open door?!! God bless you all for your continued prayers. I am hoping to give you all wonderful news very soon…I’m still plugging away!!!
