I think this thread is going off topic… so to stop the moderators from intervention I will simply state the following:As to your first sentence, chas ve’sholom (God forbid).
I would never worship Jesus, or Krishna, or Buddha, or any other nonJewish deity. And it is because God warned the Jewish people against that in Deuteronomy 13. If you read it, you will find Jesus described to a tee. Jesus was a test from God, to see if the Jewish people would truly follow the One God or not. we passed the test, which is why the belief in Jesus was given then to the Gentiles.
I worry about my soul from a Jewish perspective. What Christianity thinks has absolutely no bearing on that whatsoever.
I would rather die than surrender my faith in the One God to a nonJewish manmade religious system of ANY kind.
The only contemporary image that was ever made of Joan of Arc depicts her in women’s clothing with long hair, contrary to later depictions of her as a short-haired cross-dresser, although this image may not have been correct.
Now back to this:
Jesus is obviously not described to a tee by Deutoronomy 13 because you know it states “let us go after other gods,’ which you have not known, 'and let us serve them,” and Jesus never said anything of the sort, the only God He told people to worship was the same One who had revealed Himself to Moses and who was His Father.
We worship God through Jesus, with Jesus and in Jesus, who is our mediator between Him and us,. What we do to Jesus we also do to His Father because He is one with His Father (John 10). If you refuse to believe in Jesus then you also refuse to believe in God; in my eyes you are comparable to an atheist on that account.
1 John 2:22-24 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Messiah? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father. He who confesses the Son has the Father also. Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you will abide in the Son and in the Father.
And speaking of man-made religion… which prophet was it who came along or what revelation were you given that instructed you in this master narrative you have concocted of God sending Jesus to the gentiles to prepare them for the Jewish messiah? I mean even if it were true that the messiah had not come, by what presumption do you make to speak on Providence’s behalf and declare this is in fact (and not something different) what God intended when you have not received such revelation yourself?
