Are we yet at the stage where we need to define a marriage term? I’m thinking of “original marriage” rather than “traditional” marriage. With the latter term, people may think in terms of whatever the tradition defines, but it is not defined by tradition, it was authored by God, which means it defined the original tradition. I think we have passed the point where just saying “marriage” without any modifier expresses what we want it to express.What do all those marriages have in common? That’s the question I usually ask.
