I was very happy to finally locate a translation of Chiara Petrillo’s testimony about deciding against an abortion of her first child, who had severe birth defects. Her testimony (with English subtitles) is eloquent and moving: click here to view video with English subtitles
I had first read about her story several years ago from an article in the UK’s Catholic Herald (“One Day This Woman Will Be a Saint”), and had always wanted to be able to hear her testimony. Very glad there is now a translation!
Her faith is remarkable in that she decided against abortion not once but twice, and the second time her decision cost her her own life. Some compare her to St. Gianna.
