I’m not sure if it’s flaggable, but did you read this article carefully before you posted it?

I don’t think those references to “seamless garment idiots” are representative of our faith or how we should behave as Catholics. Also, I recommend that you read the book that Trump’s niece, a licensed psychologist, wrote about him. The more I’m reading, the less inclined I am to buy the “conversion” theory.

Finally, apart from dangling abortion-related promises in front of our faces, what else is he doing that’s “Christ-like?”

The “seamless garment” theory of combining all life issues has been around at least since Cardinal Bernardin first introduced it in 1984. But it has often been used by politicians as a method of downgrading the importance of anti-abortion efforts as long as they promoted other policies promoting human life.

Jimmy Akin gives a brief description of the subject HERE, and another more detailed article is HERE.

I get where Akin is coming from about not taking abortion seriously enough. At the same time, after years of hardcore activism in the pro-life movement, I did get frustrated by all of the tunnel-visioned thinking.

I guess that on CAF, I’m hoping for more thoughtful and intelligent discussion than an angry, emotional, name-calling blog post that actually fails to make a clear-cut, well-supported, and articulate case for voting for Donald Trump.
