As we are approaching the Thanksgiving holiday, let’s share some things we are thankful for everyday this week - let’s mention something other than God and our families as we know, of course, they are everything.

Day 1.) The ability to learn and to be fortunate enough to listen and have an open mind.

Well, I’m grateful that I can afford to buy seed for the wild birds 🦅 in my garden. They repay me by sometimes burying one or two sunflower seeds instead of eating them which pop up in the most surprising places. Bless.

These kinds of posts are those I like best. I am a very contemplative person. I enjoy deep and meaningful conversations about life. Hiking one day with my son we came up on a big spider web. I always thought of a spider web as a nuisance and nasty, but that day the sun shined on it just right and the silk of it glistened and gave off a spectrum of different colors. Then I found the beauty in it. Don’t get me wrong I still don’t want to walk into one but I came to appreciate the intricate detail and the effort of that spider weaving. I too have an open mind and have even changed my mind on some things this last year as result of doing prison ministry with some friends. So after all that, I am thankful for being open minded as well. Peace be with you

It’s not thanksgiving in Australia, however I am grateful for my current life.

I live in South Carolina, we only have one marsupial, the Virginia Opossum. And the ones here are even cute!

I love all animals! I live in Michigan… I think chipmunks and squirrels are super adorable! Also, check out these guys. They’re called mud puppies. They’re a protected species here.

I’ve lived in Iowa and Illinois, we used to catch them when we went fishing.

well we had that thylacine, but we killed it into extinction.

along with a few other choice marsupials.

Ah yes, like this thing Drop bear - Wikipedia
I don’t believe it’s just to scare tourists, I mean, Australia has some pretty scary animals. (Not that we’re lacking in that department in the southern US).
