shh, there were never any drop bears, they were never real…but shhh

It is true we do have the 10 most deadly creatures here… Just this week a swimming tourist died from a stingray barb.

but you have bears and pumas…

Day 2 - Monday, November 19th:

I am grateful for the ability to love and have empathy. The ability to love in many capacities - romantic, friendship, family, personality, and sometimes just a special connection, whether it be religious or overall admiration. It is also nice to stop and think about the little things. Those are usually the big things.

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

Many blessings,

Kat

Hot water when I shower, a warm home and a comfortable bed, my physical health, the taste of caramel…and my God given ability to create things, be it on paper, with my hands or in my mind.

In the UK we get very nasty colds.

We have the adder, can’t think of anything else deadly apart from tv repeats.

Today I’m grateful for a very new but very old friend who told me a little about Plato this morning, I think they were in the same class at school.

😊

Sounds like a nice conversation! I’m in Michigan USA and it cold, icy and foggy out! I’m already grateful for making it to work safely in the bad driving conditions.

Good morning Irishmom 🙂 Yessss, I couldn’t agree more. And can I say coffee? I am grateful for a nice cup for coffee in the morning… especially this cold, icy, Monday morning. Hope you have a lovely day!

I am grateful for my 2 kitties who snuggle now that it is cold (less than 70 degrees F) during the warmest part of the day.

Ohhh, kitties are the best! Enjoy your snuggle time with them!

Alligators, too. And in Florida, Alligators, crocodiles, thousands of invasive species.

We have a big project going on at work right now in which we need other vendors to come out for support. One of the young men from a particular vendor is new to this industry and has not a lot of experience. Once a week I lead our platform LiveSafe meeting where we stress having conversations with all work groups to make safety very personal, influence the culture of servant leadership. So today the young man I referenced came into my shop area and asked questions and needed help with connecting a particular pump he was not familiar with. So I went with him and while I didn’t do it for him, I was there with him and coached him thru it. He paid me a very nice thank you and said he wasn’t timid to come to me after hearing me speak in the meeting. So I am thankful for my usefulness when I sometimes feel I have nothing to offer. Peace be with you

It’s a cold wet and windy day and so I’m grateful for my home that shelters me from the elements be it the heat of summer, the cold of winter or like today the wind and rain.

We should all have a home, all God’s children.

Good morning Lee,

I am grateful for a warm car to get to work in. It, too, is extremely cold and icy outside. I agree, we should all have a home.

Sometimes when I feel the heat coming out of the vent in my car, i am prompted to say a prayer for those out in the cold. Not often enough, but sometimes.

Same here! I try to mention that in my morning prayers as well. I usually pray in the car on my way to work.

Sleep!

Some people find that difficult or worse.

I love falling asleep, and I love waking up…and turning over, just for a few more minutes pleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaase. 💤 ⏰
