I used to watch Michael Voris’ show “One True Faith” all the time but it seems, for some reason, it doesn’t come on in my area any longer. Does it still come on EWTN?

I didn’t know it ever came on EWTN? I know their website realcatholictv.org has the episodes.
We only have one Catholic channel here in Fresno so I think all the shows get jammed into one channel LOL

I might just have to become a premium member there just for the OTF episodes alone.

Do you still get it on tv?

Before I switched from cable to satellite I used to watch it via the local Catholic TV network, but I don’t recall it ever being on EWTN when EWTN was broadcast via that channel. I now get EWTN on it’s own channel, but have never seen that show broadcast on it.

I don’t get it in my area 😦 but I am premium member and have not looked back 👍
Had it not been for RCTV I would have not returned to the Church.

Hello!!

The One True Faith is no longer being shown in the Fresno area, please let that station know that you would like to see it back on the air! 😃

In the mean time, you can get that show and hundreds of hours of additional solid Catholic programming, shows, retreats, homilies, and more on RealCatholicTV.com - just click the link in my signature. You will need to join the premium channel to access all the programming, but as archangel04 has suggested, it is well worth it.

God bless,
~Liza

Yeah I already let them about it…They said they have no plans to bring OTF back to the station. ;(

I guess I just might end up getting the premium account. Your loss Fresno.

Yes - the audio only podcasts are indeed available free. But the original video format is only available through the Premium Channel of RealCatholicTV. 😉

~Liza
I stand corrected. (first time for everything 🙂

So, can you download video episodes from RealCatholicTv with that premium membership?

I read somewhere that Voris was banned form this forum because of his video “weapons of mass destruction.” HAve you seen it, and if so , whta did you make of it?

Yes, I thought Michael Voris was on the CAF Index of Forbidden Topics

The ban was lifted once members started to discuss topics respectfully.

The CIA show Weapons of Mass Destruction is outstanding - I highly recommend it! 👍

Lizaanne,

I get the feeling you are stalking every thread that mentions Voris, in order to dispel the facts as being nonsense, and to promote all of his work. Since you are his close associate, my guess is that you have a personal agenda that will not allow for any opposition to him.

That being said, you have not been completely honest about the “Weapons” video. Yes, indeed, the thread was completely removed since it was highly disrespectful of the clergy, and the ban was put in place when the moderator realized Voris’s* modus operandi.* Bashing the clergy is not permitted on these fora, thanks be to God.

I iurge any who feel these videos are harmful to take action. Contact the administrator(s) and/or moderator and request they review any video, giving inside examples such as this one that Liza calls “outstanding.”

Ahem - who’s doing the stalking? I posted on this thread back in November.

Rolley eyes indeed

I do not have the time nor the inclination to continue to debate with you all over CAF. If you have issues or concerns with RealCatholicTV call directly to voice them, and don’t just blather on about it on the internet: 248-545-5716

There are plenty of supporters here on CAF and elsewhere who will do a very fine job of debating with you if you wish. But I’m sure the mods are getting tired of your constant sniping and clearly looking for threads about RealCatholicTV to pounce on. I will not continue to burden them with such activity.

To further clarify, in commenting about this video, the smear of clergy is on Part 2. However, Part 1 contains the poison that denigrates the OF liturgy. Here is an excellent summary from CatholicCulture.org’s site review.

Further Information in Support of Example:

“Extreme antipathy to the liturgy of the Ordinary Form of the Roman Rite”

In a CIA (Catholic Investigative Agency) program entitled “Weapons of MASS Destruction”, Michael Voris portrays the origins and nature of the Ordinary Form of the Roman Rite in such a way as to lead him to conclude that, while it is a valid Mass, it is such a violent rupture with past forms of worship that it is “not authentic Catholic worship”.

The program is a rehash of the usual over-simplifications which elevate certain problems and internal struggles over liturgical renewal into a total indictment of the Novus Ordo, a case made primarily on the basis of preferring some traditional commentators over others, and pitting the judgment of favorite authors against the popes who superintended the changes to the liturgy.

While a particularly noteworthy case of the problem with RealCatholicTV’s tendency toward extremism, it is exactly this tendency which negatively colors so much of their otherwise well-intentioned programming.

Some specific examples of the fallacies of the video are:
  • The video “poisons the well” by asserting that one of the chief architects of the Novus Ordo was beieved by some to be a Mason intent on the destruction of the Church. Even though the video admits that the person in question denied the charge to his death, and also admits that the charge cannot be proven, it is repeated again and again as if it explains how the Novus Ordo was developed.
  • The video builds up certain personalities, such as Dietrich von Hildebrand, and then pits them against the judgment of Pope Paul VI. Thus we are led to believe that von Hildebrand had such unimpeachable opinions that when he disagreed with Pope Paul VI on the liturgy, it must have been Paul VI who was weak, emotional and just plain wrong. In general, in fact, the video relies on the opinons of a small group of what we might call semi-Traditionalist authors and adopts their opinions as the de facto Catholic position.
  • The video claims–in an egregious error–that there was only one Mass in the Church before the 1960’s, implying that it is a horrendous sin to attempt to change the liturgy significantly at any time, and therefore stacking the deck against the Conciliar call for liturgical renewal.
  • The video makes a false dichotomy between reforming the liturgy in itself and reforming our understanding of it, as if only the latter is permissible, which is false and misleading.
The result of the video is that the viewer is led to doubt the Catholicity of the ordinary form of the Roman Rite, which is the liturgical home of the vast majority of Catholics worldwide.

But the mind of the Church on this matter in the letter Pope Benedict wrote explaining his widening of the use of the old liturgy in Summorum Pontificum is that the Novus Ordo remains the ordinary form of the rite of the Catholic Church, and that the deformations associated with it arise chiefly from the failure to observe the rubrics and instead opt for constant unjustified experimentation.

In this letter, Benedict affirmed the rite itself, which is precisely what RealCatholicTV denigrates, by saying: “The most sure guarantee that the Missal of Paul VI can unite parish communities and be loved by them consists in its being celebrated with great reverence in harmony with the liturgical directives. This will bring out the spiritual richness and the theological depth of this Missal.”

I notice that the office has still not received a call from you as my husband is the one who takes those calls. Not one single call regarding a discussion on CAF has been received. Why haven’t you called to voice your complaints to the source? Or is the anonymity of the internet too comfortable for you?

His name is Simon, and I know he would be happy to discuss your concerns. Please do give a call on Monday. I will not engage in a debate in an internet forum, regardless of how much cutting and pasting or transcribing out of context you might do.

Liza,

As I stated recently, the views of RCTV and I are worlds apart, never to meet in the middle. After the comment you made to my post below, I have no reason to believe anything whatsoever will be solved by my placing a phone call to your office. In your opinion, WOMD is an outstanding video. In mine, I vehemently disagree. End of story.

Since you are his best friend, maybe you can pass along the message and ask that he tone down the rhetoric.
And don’t worry, he’s not going to tone down a bit.

I just hope you allow those who enjoy RCTV to have nice conversations on CAF withough stirring the hornets nest. I think you have made you point on many post on how you feel about RCTV and that’s ok, but the no Bishop has condemned RCTV and some have even given it praise. As I said you have made your point and I am sure others will see it and they can make the decision for themselves.
