Is to go on health forums dedicated to ABORTION AND CONTRACEPTION and to take a stand.
 
i support the right to abort,its up to the woman to decide what she want to do…its her body

Sure it’s her choice to make decisions about her body and her sexual choices. It is not her choice to make decisions about a body and a life that is not her own…nobody has the right to unilaterally end the life of another.

of course,i dont support abortion in the late days of the pregnancy…you cant talk about the body and life in the first weeks of the pregnancy

At what stage of the pregnancy does the child gain the rights of a human? 4 months?

That is not what Jesus’ mother thought. She accepted God’s will that she would be the mother of Christ. She knew that the body is not hers but God’s, and it ought to be used in accordance to His Will.

Well,(and please don’t take offense if you are muslim) this answer makes sense coming from a muslim, b/c muslims don’t believe in Jesus, and if you have Jesus in your heart, you will be PRO-LIFE…I use to be prochoice:(, until I came to Jesus and saw the light and love and became prolife:)

The theory is sound but as long as murder, war, genocide, and other unpleasant factors that result in the loss of a life exists… abortion is the lowest on my radar. I wish people spent more time worrying and protesting other issues as much as they did just abortion. Humans alive today are worth just as much as those yet to be born.

I have always wonder if Mary really had a choice. I doubt God knowing he was on his way to this world would even allowed such actions to even transpire or if Mary even would have had thought of aborting in the first place. It’s nice to make her appear worthy of such praise but realistically we have no idea what went through her mind.

That was a rude response. There are many people of different faiths that don’t call themselves Christians but are very much Pro-Life.

Whoa, whoa, whoa…did you say that abortion is the lowest on your radar? Well guess what? It’s the highest on mine because it takes far more lives than what you mentioned. First of all it is infanticide, and the number of loss each year blows all war casualties, genocides in history, etc out of the water! Look it up. If you can’t find it, ask me.
The pro-life movement deserves all the attention it brings.
I have always wonder if Mary really had a choice. God knew the moment He created her, what she would do for Him and His Son…and our Salvation. So, please do not wonder if she really had a choice. He knew she would say yes to His Will like that!

I am not knocking the pro-life movement I am just saying I wish people would spend more time worrying about the lives of the born as much as they do the lives of the unborn. There tends to be a rift of what pro-life means. For some it just means abortion but for me if one is to be pro-life they won’t support anything that would result in the loss of a human life (war, capital punishment, etc).

All Christians must be a people of life. That’s not just in the battle against abortion, but like you said, all human life - euthanasia, embryo stem cell research, etc. It’s just we forget what our priorities are. If abortion takes the most life, then we are encouraged to defend those lives first!
 
One way is to simply quote the evidence: the number of abortions and the methods (such as pulling the babies brains out). Then there is the wealth of science.

Hey DdMac, I think there may be more attention brought to all prolife issues than you may think. Some of my friends at the university I recently graduated from started a student organization called “Students for Life.” They welcome people of all beliefs and raise awareness/ funds/ goods for all pro life causes including abortion, euthanasia, capital punishment, war etc.

I understand that from your experience that probably isn’t the norm, but it is a good example of what some young people are doing.

Why not? By the time most women know they’re pregnant, every major body system has already gotten started and there definitely is a body.

Even right after fertilization, the cellular processes unique to life are already going on, so how can there be a question of whether the earliest stage of human existence is in fact, life? Put it this way, if there was no life in the early weeks of development in the womb, why would some women seek to need to end it?

You are right that being pro-life is not just about being against abortion. There are lots of attacks against life, as you point out, but it is possible to be against ALL that is anti-life. It’s not a question of either or; it’s not a question of first this, then that. I do have strong concerns about those who claim respect life in the womb while failing to respect the lives around them, that they can actually see.

To truly respect life, one has to respect every stage of it: beginning to end.
