One way to fight abortion

What does the Qur’an say? after all the Qur’an trumps scholars doesn’t it?

Its not her right to kill an unborn baby, and abortion is not a right.

Its an interesting idea to go onto Abortion and Contraception forums and discuss the pro-life position. I wonder if it would work.

Want to do something positive about being Pro-life: march down to the locard children’s services agency and tell them to let you adopt a child of a drug addict or mental health patient. These are babies that did not get aborted, yet cannot be raised by their birth parents. It will change not just a life, but multiple generations.

Pro-life is action, not protest. Do something tangible, not just something to make you feel good. Sacrifice and pray.

I don’t disagee that a woman has the right to do with her own body what she chooses. I disagree that she has a right to do with the baby’s body whatever she chooses.

How many children have you adopted? What kinds of disabillities do they have? Do you get help from the state with their medical care?

of course,i dont support abortion in the late days of the pregnancy…you cant talk about the body and life in the first weeks of the pregnancy

When will otherwise intelligent people understand that at conception you have a whole human being? It may not be the developed “form” you’re used to seeing, but it is whole nontheless.

3 so far, and they have a variety of physical and emotional issues. They are all small right now, so we don’t know what learning disabilites may arise. The state pays for things that my insurance does not cover, but that hasn’t been necessary yet.

I am not knocking the pro-life movement I am just saying I wish people would spend more time worrying about the lives of the born as much as they do the lives of the unborn. There tends to be a rift of what pro-life means. For some it just means abortion but for me if one is to be pro-life they won’t support anything that would result in the loss of a human life (war, capital punishment, etc).

I do, too. Patricularly the parents who divorce and bring SOs into the home (another thread) and the parents who choose to use drugs of all kinds when they’re raising kids. Add in those parents who choose not to work and expect “the community” to feed and clothe their kids. Heck, throw in a backpack and lunchbox (why a lunchbox when they refuse to send food to school with their kids???) and paper and pencils, too.

But how can we expect a society that thinks it’s OK to kill kids to demand that parents who haven’t killed their kids actually take responsibility for them. Heck, they get praise just for not killing them. (See the front page of many papers in June - HS graduation stories.)

My state does the same. It’s a way to encourage people to adopt kids who are expensive (some disabilities cost a fortune). I’m not sure how successful the program is. It seems that the same few families adopt several disabled kids.

I’ve always thought that an adoption agency, which includes housing for unwed mothers waiting to give birth, across the street from an abortion clinic would be an ideal location.

What if the mother of Mohammed the Prophet PBUH had aborted him during the 6th week of her pregnancy?

The result would be the same if she’d aborted him 2 weeks after conception or if she’d aborted him 3 hours into her labor.

The result would be no live birth of Mohammed and no creation of the religion of Islam.

Muslim scholars may want to ponder that before giving any time frame after conception that it is alright to Abort or Terminate a pregnancy as it means the same thing the ending of a Human life.

Scientific DNA testing will confirm that at the moment of conception in the uterus of a woman, it is a human being - may not have form for a several more days, but the DNA is definitely human and the DNA is definitely different than that of the woman it’s inside.
