Just wondering if anyone here can recommend a decent online Christian book store that you have past experience with? I’m looking for one with good prices, decent customer support, and decent shipping times.

For general books I love www.christianbook.com. They have excellent prices, sales and great service. I do think it’s much more oriented to Protestant interests but I’ve bought several Catholic study books and bibles.

I like them too, and have ordered several Bibles from them. Their prices are excellent, and their shipping is inexpensive and timely.

Amazon.com and Borders (one and the same since they merged) are not Christian only, but they have a good selection of Christian books and Bibles, including used books. Sometimes they have special discounts such as free shipping.

I have had good experiences with TAN books and Our Lady of the Rosary Library. I have also heard good things about Baronius Press, though I have never ordered from them.

Do you happen to know the status of TAN Books bankruptcy proceedings? The wikipedia article claims they have ceased printing books as part of a bankruptcy settlement, and that they will likely close completely once their stock is sold.

After that somber note, I would like to nominate Eighth Day Books. They are not solely Catholic -. in their words they are “eclectic, but orthodox”. I think you will find they carry a wonderful breadth of books.

Free anything is hard to come by!
