It seems that only non-catholics get prophetic dreams and visions and words . that edify comfort. Believers in jesus and the holy spirit. It is astonishing . watching did Roth. Its supernatural.

Or john Paul Jackson on dream interperation.

In revelations. It says jesus is the spirit of prophecy,
This is what saint Paul encouraged.

As I was educated catholic. No catholics seem to be graced with this holy spirit anointing. To prophecy.

So, who told you this? And, why do you believe it? You do not know that the scriptures are Catholic? The sacred authors? What about the many apparitions? Saint Faustina’s diary? Far too many to list here. All are extremely edifying.

Methinks you have been lead astray by the spirit of division and hatred. Use caution!

“Believe none of what you hear, and only half of what you see.”
― Benjamin Franklin

Frankly, believe nothing of what you see on TV.

Who is John Paul Jackson? 😉

Let me ask you, what is your opinion of Fatima? And Lourdes?

PART ONE

I do not often share this, as it is deeply personal. I have had several experiences with the Holy Spirit and visions. Before my marriage to my wife, I was faced with the dilemma of having to decide whether to donate a kidney to my brother or not. My then fiancée said whatever life brings us we would face it together and be thankful for what time we have. We were married and two months later, I donated the kidney. Six months after that I was visited by two Angles who consoled me and gave me peace and that I had done something extraordinary and to not worry about the future.

A year after that, I was in the process of converting to Catholicism and going through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). An old falsehood taught to me in the SBC was the one about graven images. For some reason I could not reconcile it with the Catholic explanations and Church teachings on the subject. My wife, the Priest and others tried to explain it to me in various ways. It was only in prayer that the Holy Spirit opened my eyes and reviled to me the truth. It was a fully conscious and noticeable event that the HS was present and enlightening me. How awesome and humbling that was.

Years later, I was in Church and deeply contemplating my faith and the existence of God, it was then that the HS showed me the vast emptiness, pain, fear, sheer helplessness, and horror of what it would be like without God. It was but for a second or two but that was all that was needed, I do not think anyone could stand much more. Yes the HS is a great teacher.

A year or two later and after a long period of prayer I had a vision of being lead to Jesus. I had a vision that came to me one night. It came after a long period (months) of prayer. I know it was a vision because of all of the vivid dreams I have had, nothing came anywhere near this experience.

I was entering what I believe was a temple. The temple area was a large chamber supported by columns here and there. On one wall was a dais where two figures stood and both were wearing brilliant white robes that seem to radiate an aura of light that surrounded them both and it appeared that light emanated around and from them. It was the only source of light that I could tell that came from the temple. Most, if not all of the people were sitting or moving to a sitting position and focusing on the two on the dais. All of the people, including myself, seemed to be dressed in dull gray robes and the stone of the temple area was of the same gray hue. It was crowded and there was little room to move or get closer.

PART TWO

At first, I did not know who these two individuals were, but that they were the main focus of everyone in the room, and I felt compelled to get closer to see and hear what was going to be said. I came to the sudden realization that it was Jesus that was speaking and need to hurry closer to hear what was being said. I could not make out specific details of Jesus’ face other than he had brown hair and beard that was not very long. It did not seem like the contemporary renditions of his likeness, only that I knew that it was He. The other person standing to the right of Jesus was dress as He was and that his face was not discernable but was pure light. Jesus was speaking to the people although I could not discern just what was being said at the moment.

I remember that there was someone with me to my left, I do not know who it was, but that he was helping me to work my way through the crowd of people so that I could get a better spot to see Jesus. He was dressed as everyone else in the room but insisted that I keep moving closer. I was about twenty five or so feet from Jesus and was where I wanted to be, that is when Jesus spoke my name “Warren”. It was thunderous, commanding, warn, and affectionate. Christ just spoke my name! I knew that it was the Lord that had called my name but I do not know why. It felt as if my heart was going to jump out of my chest, it was that sudden. I suddenly woke and was wide-awake and fully aware of what had just happened. I felt awed, fearful and blessed all at the same time. The fear I felt was the same fear that I can only imagine that the disciples and apostles must have felt when they realized for the first time that they were in the presence of God.

I will always wonder as to how is it that I am worthy that Christ should speak my name. To this day the vision is just as vivid and the desire for that experience again is always there.

Finally my daughter was going through some dark and troubling times. She had already had one suicide attempt. At one point, she said that she was confronted by a demon that almost caused her to wreck her car and no matter which way she tried to turn it remained in her path. At some point she lost control but as she did she reached out for a rosary she had hanging from her rearview mirror. When she grasped it the car came to a stop without incident and that the demon had fled. Several days later, we met with our parish priest who decided that a mini prayer exorcism should be performed. As the prayer progressed the room came alive with the presence of the HS that I could actually feel moving around the room and the sound of what I describe as electric rain crackled and a warm embrace incased us all. It was an awe inspiring event to have witnessed and experienced.

So I guess my point is that Catholic do experience prophetic dreams and visions and words, it could be that we do not go out and make a spectacle of it or profit from it. It is deeply personal and private thing so this may be why the OP does not hear about Catholics experiencing these things.
