I’m through with your foolish game.
Did the scriptures make sense to you? They were put in order.
  1. sacrifice (blood shed) was needed for forgiveness
  2. cain and abel. Abel’s sacrifice was the firstling of his flock. Represented Christ.
  3. Sacrificial system was a shadow of the coming Saviour. He was the Lamb of God. John 1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
  4. Sacrificial system was done away with at Jesus’ death.
  5. Christ our passover…see #3

Like I said, I’m finished playing these foolish games. I don’t think it would hurt you to answer a simple yes or no question with a yes or no answer. To be honest, the way you answer is getting pretty old and sickening. Your not doing yourself any good by the way you answer questions.

I really don’t understand why you played such a game before expressing yourself and making a point? I don’t think anyone would disagree with your point…so far.

[1Jn 2:1 My little children these thing write I to you that you sin not. And **if any
man sin WE HAVE AN ADVOCATE with the Father Jesus Christ the righteous 2 And **HE is THE PROPITIATION FOR OUR SINS and not for our’s only but also for the sins of the whole world.]

Christ is not just sitting on a throne in heaven and watching events, He is our High Priest who has entered the Holy of Holies with his propitiating, atoning blood. He ever lives to MEDIATE and intercede for us. He does this by making present and showing forth, to the Father, his once for all sacrifice on the cross. The sacrifice of the mass is a propitiation as it is the same once for all sacrifice of the cross made present to us. There is no re-sacrifice it is the same, once done, made present to us a memorial sacrifice, a living memorial to God our Father and also to us, [Ex 25:30 …you shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before me always] In the old Temple Holy of Holies the bread of the Presence is placed on a table before the Presence of God, so God can see it always. The Temple bread of the Presence is an example and shadow of Christ and his real Presence in the bread of life, who will stand in the midst of the throne of God our Father as a Lamb slain, showing forth the propitiatory sacrifice of the cross, before the Father always. [Rv 5:6 And I beheld… lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts and in the midst of the elders stood a Lamb as it had been slain …]

This is how Christ is our ONE UNIQUE MEDIATOR, we can all pray for others, mediating, but we cannot make atonment for others only Christ’s unique mediatorship can make atonement.

Our slain sacrificed Passover Lamb with his propitiatory, atoning, blood ever living and present in the true Holy of Holies in the midst of the throne before God the Father. The man Jesus is our MEDIATOR, our High Priest in the order of Melchisedec, mediating ever showing forth and making present his once for all sacrifice to the Father and us at mass.

[Malachi 1:11 For from the rising to going down of the sun my name shall be great among the Gentiles, in everyplace incense shall be offered…and a pure offering will be made, Rv 5:6 And I beheld in the midst of the throne …stood a Lamb as it had been slain…Hb 7: 17 …Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. … Hb 7:24 … this man… continues ever…an unchangeable priesthood 25 Wherefore he is able also to save … seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them. …Hb 8:1…We have such an high priest…set on the right hand of Majesty… 2 A minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle …3 … every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also TO OFFER 4 …priests that offer gifts according to the law 5 …serve to the example and shadow of heavenly things … … 6 But now has he obtained a more excellent ministry… MEDIATOR OF a better COVENANT.]

The scriptures tell us we have access to ALL those in heaven, [Hb12:22 But YE ARE COME UNTO MOUNT SION, and unto THE CITY OF THE LIVING GOD, the HEAVENLY JERUSALEM, and TO an innumerable company of ANGELS, 23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and TO GOD the Judge of all, and TO the SPIRITS OF JUST MEN MADE PERFECT, 24 And TO JESUS THE MEDIATOR OF THE NEW COVENANT, and TO THE BLOOD of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.]

As Catholics we come TO Heavenly Jerusalem, TO angels, TO God, TO spirits of just men, TO Jesus TO the blood. Through the one mediatorship of Jesus, united in worship, individual prayer and hopfully when we die. The veil of the temple has been removed we have access to the Holy of Holies and ALL who are there. Do you know of another way TO come to Jesus and those in the Heavenly Jerusalem?

prayin to a dead person beacouse you think they are closer to God, even tho you can be just as close because now thanks to Jesus we can have relationship with the father doesnt make since. its not the same as calling up a friend and asking them to pray for you. because to me praying to a dead person is almost paganistic to me. while calling a friend is praying in agreement. But all the same why not go straight to jesus
and besides when you get to hevan all your doing is prasing God. You arnt worried about people on earth. your with the Most High

**Mat 22:32 I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.

Mar 12:27 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You therefore do greatly err. **

Heb 12:1 And therefore we also having so great a cloud of witnesses over our head, laying aside every weight and sin which surrounds us, let us run by patience to the fight proposed to us:

Rev 5:8 And when he had opened the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty ancients fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

ok srry to say i dont get the first two in matthew so i dont know wat to sat about thew. the one in hebrews, you didnt give me tthw whole verse. its highlighted in my bible. but i thinks the cloud of wittnesses are angels because they were created to serve/help us on this road called life and the one in revelation i think when they say saints i think its like the people of god or christians. The term Saints is used to call christians (ex: the preacher walks in and greets the congregation, good morning saints)
i get back to you with the matthew scriptures…

…thats all i have for now
The first two specifically state that God is the God of the living and not the dead. You continously stated praying to dead people didn’t make sense.

Hebrews shows there are those overhead who have concern over us.

Rev. 5:8 (KJVA) And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

If those ‘saints’ are Christians on earth, we have someone falling down before the Lamb, the Lord, with vials full of prayers of those 'saint’s. If those ‘saints’ are in heaven, then they are still praying with elders falling down before the Lord with their prayers. Either way, someone is before the Lord with the prayers of others.

littlechristian, I’m not trying to change your faith, or the way you pray. I am only trying to demonstrate that this Catholic belief is scriptural, even if you do not agree with the interpretation

Christ is the only mediator between man and God and the Bible teaches us to pray for one another. There is no difference in asking someone on earth to pray for you, and asking someone in heaven to pray for you.

**Rom 15:30 I beseech you therefore, brethren, through our Lord Jesus Christ and by the charity of the Holy Ghost, that you help me in your prayers for me to God,

Col 4:3 Praying withal for us also, that God may open unto us a door of speech to speak the mystery of Christ (for which also I am bound):

1Th 5:25 Brethren, pray for us.

2Th 1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you: That our God would make you worthy of his vocation and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness and the work of faith in power:

2Th 3:1 For the rest, brethren, pray for us that the word of God may run and may be glorified, even as among you:

Eph 6:18 By all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the spirit: and in the same watching with all instance and supplication for all the saints:
Eph 6:19 And for me, that speech may be given me, that I may open my mouth with confidence, to make known the mystery of the gospel,**

In Hebrews 12:1, we see there are a great cloud of witnesses. Witnesses can see us…
