Jesus said,
“God sends rain on the just and the unjust” (Mathew 5:45).
If anyone is good it is because that goodness comes from God. Just as God send the rain on the earth to benefit all people, so is His goodness in some measure present in all who do not reject kindness and goodness in their lives.
Only God is good, yes, but He shares His Spirit with us. We are good inasmuch as God dwells in us.
