Ok, I need to clear something up…and I guess an apology is in order:

I understood the attempt, failed as it was. It’s not irony, and it’s in very poor taste. The two sites are in no way comparable, so it’s not true. A few posts later, you condoned it, saying it was “ACCURATE… but not nice.” While neither the web site, nor the comparison were accurate depictions, I agree with you that it was not nice. It certainly lacked knowledge and was not charitable.

MDK, I was not condoning Jack Chick’s portrayal of Catholicism. Far from it. I find his website to be inaccurate, ludicrous and offensive.

When I told M that it was “not nice,” but “ACCURATE,” I was referring to his comparison of Chick’s website to letusreasontogether.org (or whatever the name of that site was). He was comparing the accuracy level of the two, and so was I.

To be specific, he said that ‘letusreason’ was about as accurate as Jack Chick, and I agreed with him. If THAT offends you, I am truly sorry. From the LDS point of view, those sites are comparable.

It got confusing, and for that confusion I apologize.
