Hello,

I’m sorry for being so blunt, but I would really like an answer to this question, which is bothering both my wife and me a lot. The other night we were being “intimate,” and I allowed my wife to “finish” first, because she enjoys that from time to time. However, when I proceeded to try to finish, I found that no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t 😦 I think it was because we had been intimate the night before, and that made it difficult for me (even though I’m young, I sometimes have trouble finishing when I’ve already done it recently - it’s very frustrating 😦 )

This has happened once before as well, where we’ve tried to be intimate, and I just couldn’t go all the way. So I think we knew in the back of our minds that there was a risk involved of not being open to life, even though we certainly didn’t MEAN to not be open to it (we use NFP). However, that was the result the other night, with only my wife finishing… Did either of us sin mortally? 😦

No. You didn’t mean to- there’s no guarantee of “performance”…I really wouldn’t worry about this…guaranteed to ruin your evening.

nope

Heavens, no! I know that whenever I drive my car there is a chance I could kill someone. Am I sinning every time I get behind the wheel? You guys are fine! Enjoy your moments of intimacy, and trust in God! 👍

It’s happened to my husband before, especially if we had been intimate the day before. It just something that happens. No need to worry. 🙂

You did nothing wrong. Don’t worry about it. Sin is all about intent. Did you intend for that to happen? Based on your post the obvious answer is no. You were open to life and God doesn’t hold your natural circumstances against you.

Relax! You did nothing wrong!
