Why is humility so difficult? Other than hell, what are the costs?
I’m not talking about overestimating your importance or skills.
What is the cost of always wanting to be right, never compromising, and being critical of others constantly? Not wanting to hear other people’s opinions?
Not all sins backfire.
You can sin responsibly.

IMHO, the costs of consciously living that way is misery. No consolation from Jesus. Who chooses to live in fear? 🤷 When the other option is simple…let Jesus into our hearts.

Jesus, I trust in you.

God Bless you.

I guess unconsciously it is OK then. Probably not either.

I asked a priest for advice once, and the phrase that has stuck with me is “joyful trust.”

I’ve struggled with this for so long. I’ve been doing the Surrender Novena and it has helped me tremendously.

Jesus, I surrender myself to You; You take care of it.

How do you do those?
You can live courageously by realizing that God will provide what is good for you only. If you fail at something, it is because success in it would ultimately be bad for you. If you succeed at something, it is because it would be good for you.

Psalm 23:6 “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…”
