Dear CAF,
I was wondering in regards to the openly gay bishop who was ordained within the Anglican Church. Was he a **practicing** homosexual? (Was he living with a partner?) or Was he a non practicing, chaste homosexual?

Charting homosexuality within the Anglican communion would resemble an air-traffic control spread…sadly, there is a problem with this within the Catholic Church as well. I’m hoping this will improve over time…
oh yeah, thank you so much for this answer, but wasn’t there also an openly gay bishop within the anglican church. What was his name? and… was he a practicing homosexual or a non-practicing, chaste homosexual?

Are you talking about Vicki Robinson of the Episcopal Church? Then yes, he was flaming. He left his wife and daughter to shack up with his moustacheod gay lover.

Here’s a picture of the two lovebirds together.

Didn’t they have a June wedding because he (Robinson) always wanted to be a June bride? :flowers:

Ugh that picture is awful 😦 what pervs…

I agree with gurney! Time to stop this madness.

My Episcopalian neighbor told me the key word is “openly” as there has always been gay priests in the Anglican Church but the motto was don’t ask, don’t tell.

Everything is open to the Eyes of God. Homosexuals are trapped in sin the the devil. We really should pray for them that they let God draw them to the foot of the Cross so their conscience can be washed in the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus the Messiah.

Two thousand years and counting (more or less for the Church, longer for my religion). So far the “problem” hasn’t improved in the sense of going away.

Hmm I don’t know. I would say at least he was true to his feelings instead of being a closet homosexual Catholic priest who would molest and abuse minor boys and when the heat would get too close, he could count upon good ole’ bishop to move him and keep avoiding responsibility while ruining the lives of more boys and their families. 😊

How, pray tell, does that not prove he’s a praticing homosexual?
Just that there was no need for your statement before. It was not germane to the thread; there was nothing positive added to the discussion.

What the Catholic Church did was wrong. It lost many of its parishioners. I dont’ think you’ll ever find Catholics as trusting of their priests and bishops which is, probably, a good thing. You termed the priests homosexual. They could be but definitely pedophiles. Hetrosexuals can be pedophiles too and we’re not the only Church that has had to deal with this problem.

Are you content with having homosexuals as priests in your Church? Were you okay with the idea of don’t ask, don’t tell? Is it okay to be true to your feelings when you are married and have children and have taken marriage vows and the vows of the priesthood?
