Newspapers routinely refer to any Roman Catholic in the news as “a devout Catholic”. They would not say that of Mel Gibson at the moment, however. Mad Mel is again in hot water for racism.

I think that Mel Gibson is in a very dark place right now, he needs our prayers.
 
I dont know what happened to mel since the movie about Christ. one would think that he would be a much better person.

instead he leaves his wife and kids and commits adultery. that is what happened to him. he will reap what he sowed.

Mel Gibson needs to make right with God, all that is happening to him is because he seems to have turned his back on God. Making the movie about Jesus crucifixion, would tell us that he at one time had a strong belief in God. Something went wrong and he will not find any peace untill he comes back to God, I pray that he will do just that, so he is in my prayers,
 
It makes sense - we’re talking about someone who built his own church, outside the authority of the Holy See. That gaping crack there was Satan’s for the exploiting. Now the walls are mere parodies now. He needs our prayers, that he comes back to God.

He is consumed with such anger I would bet that guilt is the underlying issue.
