Founded in France by Sts Francis de Sales and Jane de Chantal, here is the clearinghouse website my organization built for the First Federation in the US, which is cloistered. We also included the one Visitation monastery in the UK, as well:

The Second Federation of the Visitation in the US was the teaching branch. They are down to either two or three monasteries now. Georgetown, DC, and Brooklyn, NY, have retained a modified habit. Minneapolis is more of an outreach convent. We are not sure if St. Louis is still up and running.

The Visitation Sisters of Dubuque, Iowa, became their own congregation when they moved there. They have different post-nomial initials. However, their numbers have plummeted, and the sisters now have their own convent adjacent to that of the Sisters of the Presentation.

The Oblate Fathers/Brothers & Sisters of St. Francis de Sales were co-founded by a Visitation nun, Venerable Marie de Sales Chappuis, VHM,

and her monastery’s chaplain, Blessed Louis Brisson. The Oblates are a society of apostolic life:

Welcome - Georgetown Visitation Monastery
The Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary has its roots in early seventeenth-century France. Francis de Sales and Jane de Chantal saw the opportunity for the creation of a religious order that would be welcoming to women seeking a deep relationship with God.
