Subject: Oregon Woman Prevented from Starting Petition to Protect Life; State Being Sued
Please pray that this amendment is NOT allowed to be stymied from making it onto the ballot just because the state’s Secretary of State and Attorney General are – illegally – denying a citizen’s request to circulate a petition that would amend the Oregon constitutution to end abortion in the state.
In other words, please pray that the Thomas More Law Center – a national public interest law firm – wins its suit against the Oregon Secretary of State and the Attorney General.
A key phrase at the Thomas More Law Center site is this one –
“Oregon is one of the states we are working to get the amendment on the ballot. We have enough signatures, but the state has attempted to stymy us. We are now suing the state to comply with their own law. See our story here.”

The Thomas More Law Center does not charge for its services. It’s a 501(c)(3) organization. It’s been around for 25 years. It is “a not-for-profit public interest law firm dedicated to the defense and promotion of the religious freedom of Christians, time-honored family values, and the sanctity of human life. Our purpose is to be the sword and shield for people of faith, providing legal representation without charge to defend and protect Christians and their religious beliefs in the public square. We achieve this goal principally through litigation, seeking out significant cases, consistent with our mission, where our expertise can be of service to others. We also defend and promote faith and family through media and educational efforts. Above all, the lawyers of the Thomas More Center seek to meet the highest moral and ethical standards of our Christian faith and our legal profession.”

Fr. Frank Pavone is just one of the speakers on the Thomas More Center’s YouTube video titled “One Nation Under God.”
The Thomas More Law Center is working similar amendments in several states… perhaps, your state?
Again, thanks in advance for praying that this amendment will at least be allowed to be put onto the ballot!!

I’m glad to see a news article on this at the EWTN Web site, no less! Talk about coverage!
