One of my local churches has a poster up advertising a program or a class called “Oremus” that seems to be about helping people build a prayer life or learn to pray or something.

I looked it up online and it appears to be this program:

Anyone familiar with this program? Who is the target audience for it? Given that the poster was hanging outside the daily Mass and Adoration Chapel of the church, I would think everybody coming in there has a pretty good grasp of how to pray.

Honestly Bear, I go to Adoration because I still don’t totally know how to pray.

That program looks cool though. We need to follow what JPII said about making the Church a school for prayer.

Ascension does a pretty good job of letting you review some of the data ahead of time to see if it’s something you would be interested in.

You can you can preview the series by watching the first episode.

the program is really a priest talking the whole time about praying, and how he learned how to better pray a few years after he became a priest.

I didn’t mean to sound harsh. I know there are folks who can benefit by all these classes, I’m sure. I just wasn’t sure if this was for converts or what.

Oh no, that wasn’t my implication! I mean Scripture basically tells us we don’t always know what or how to pray, I think any program that helps people pray more/better is invaluable.
